The oldest of the aquariums built by Aqua Logo Engineering is celebrating its 10th anniversary these days
The initiator and investor of the Voronezh Oceanarium construction is entrepreneur Evgeny Nikolaevich Khamin. The oceanarium was designed and built by our company according to the concept of Andrey Telegin approved by the Customer.
When conceiving the concept of the oceanarium, we decided not to limit the population of the exposition only to hydrobionts, as it is customary in most public aquariums. In our opinion, enclosures and terrariums with land mammals, birds and reptiles will diversify the exposition and allow visitors to visualize more clearly the natural biotopes where land and water inhabitants in different corners of the planet neighbor.
Only in-house experience and world-class technology were used in the creation of the oceanarium. Life support systems are built to meet the diverse needs of the aquarium and cage population.
The oceanarium is now home to about 4,000 individuals - 180 species of fish and 55 species of reptiles, mammals, invertebrates, and birds. The maintenance team of the oceanarium can be proud of the natural addition to the exposition. Thanks to the professional care of animals and comfortable conditions of keeping, 80 cubs of rhinoceroses, raccoons, meerkats, fennecs, galagos, lemurs, mangobeans, stingrays were born in different years.
Every year the oceanarium is visited by 250000 people, 40% of whom come specially from far away. After all, 4 years after its opening, the Voronezh Oceanarium was ranked 1st in Russia, 8th in Europe and 22nd in the world in the Traveler's Choice award! The rating of the oceanarium is determined by the reviews left during the year by visitors of the TripAdvisor travelers' website.
The Voronezh Aquarium is a member of the European Union of Aquarium Curators (EUAC) and a member of the professional societies SOZAR and EARAZA.
The Oceanarium is actively engaged in educational and outreach activities. More than 25 thousand people, including adults and children with disabilities, visited the social and charitable events of the Oceanarium.
Congratulations to the staff of the Voronezh Oceanarium and all those involved in its creation!
