Despite the difficult climatic conditions and limited space for construction in the forest, the complex was realized at the highest level and opened just in time.

The total area of the complex is 5,500 square meters and is designed to house three species of bears: brown, Himalayan and Malayan. Inside the complex there are six spacious enclosures with a modern system of screens, as well as three buildings designed for convenient maintenance and observation of each species of bears. The enclosures have swimming pools for the animals, waterfalls, and the brown bears even have their own pond where they can catch live fish on their own!
Beginning of the tour. The complex welcomes visitors with a photo zone and an open view of the cages through glass
The decorations of the photo zone are made in a fairy-tale style, which children and adults like so much
Our specialists have also developed a modern filtration system for water reservoirs, which is installed in a building remote from the animals' habitat. The result is a comfortable environment not only for bears and staff, but also for visitors.
Brown bear enclosure. View of the waterfall. Waiting for it to start!
The main path for visitors runs right inside the pine forest and has a winding contour, which creates a unique immersive atmosphere. Various and modern ways of viewing the exposition (through glass, moats, "strings") have replaced the outdated heavy grids.
The glass enclosure blurs boundaries and allows you to fully immerse yourself in the exhibit
The complex is filled with various small architectural forms. In the den you can watch a sleeping bear through the glass all winter long!
Shade canopies made of massive trunks almost eliminate glare and reflections on the glass walls, provide comfortable conditions for viewing and photographing the exposition. They also protect visitors from precipitation.
The complex has a unique Cinema "Bear-den" in the form of a fairy stump, where children can watch interesting films about animals and listen to a lecture, for example, about representatives of the bear family
At present, two brown bears, Alexei and Valentina, as well as a female Himalayan bear Chelsea, have successfully adapted to their apartments in the Novosibirsk Zoo's new enclosure complex.
