EARAZA-2023 Conference in Almaty

The conference was attended by about 150 participants from 21 countries. During the conference, the results of the work done were summarized and new participants were admitted to the association.

According to the voting results 8 new members joined EARAZA: Nanjing Oceanarium, Hefei Oceanarium, Chongqing Oceanarium, Fuyang Oceanarium (China), Dessau Zoo (Germany), Eskisehir Zoo (Turkey), Al Ain Zoo (UAE) and Shemakha Safari Park (Azerbaijan). Also Moskvarium, Aquatica Oceanarium, Kogalym and Dushanbe Zoo were transferred from associate to full members of EARAZA. Now there are 97 institutions in the Association.

The conference participants presented more than 30 reports. The delegation of Aqua Logo Engineering made a report "Modern zoo in search of financial harmony (on the example of the zoo in Karakol city)".

On the sidelines, old and new acquaintances enjoyed informal communication, discussed prospects for development and cooperation. A visit to the blooming Almaty Zoo was very interesting and useful. Its employees conducted daily excursions and shared their experience.

After the three-day work of the conference participants were organized a tourist program on the sights of Kazakhstan: a trip to the nursery of birds of prey "Sunkar" to the show with birds of prey; excursion to the National Park "Altyn Emel" with a visit to the Charyn Canyon and "Singing Sands".
