Opening of the fountain in Sokolniki Park after repairs

In Moscow's Sokolniki Park on July 24, 2015, the grand opening of the fountain, located in the center of the Great Rose Garden, took place. Repair of the engineering networks of this fountain has been long overdue. Employees of the Rose Garden for several years tried to fight the leak, constantly pouring water and patching the walls of the bowl of the fountain. At the same time looking for an investor for quality repair of this monument of history and culture. The sponsor was the company Saint-Gobain, the world leader in the field of creating comfortable spaces for people.

Fountain before launch

Works on the design, installation of new equipment and waterproofing of the fountain as a contractor was performed by Akva Logo Engineering. Construction and waterproofing materials manufactured by Saint-Gobain (trade marks: Weber.tec™ and WeberVetonit™) were used, which made it possible to reduce the work performance time and guarantee the quality.

Fountain in action

The launch of the renovated fountain was a celebration of the 350th anniversary of Saint-Gobain and took place in a festive atmosphere with a large gathering of people and great weather.

13 fountain nozzles create the water picture

Technical characteristics of the fountain:

Design water volume - 32, 84 m3.

Water pattern - a total of 13 fountain nozzles (type "foam column"), located in two lines crosswise:

- central jet of 100% height, 1 pc. Height 2 m.

- jet of 75% height, 4 pcs.

- jet of 50% height, 4 pcs.

- 25% high jet, 4 pcs.

Automation of work of the fountain:

- on/off switch on the days of operation of the B.Rosarium

- overflow/refill system

- water filtration and treatment

- Addition of biologically safe preparation preventing algae and blooms.

Functionality of the fountain is provided by 4 circulating pumps, a pump of biodosing additives and water treatment pump. Finishing of the fountain is made by granite Sunset Gold.
