Anchor fountain in Murmansk

In Murmansk, on September 17, 2015, the central square on the city's main square, Five Corners, opened after reconstruction. At the opening, the greatest delight of the public was the new city fountain with an anchor in the center of the bowl. Anchor is one of the symbols of Murmansk, our northern port city. Therefore it is not surprising that the majority of Murmansk citizens when discussing the fountain project were in favour of this non-standard element of its design.

Several organizations were involved in the creation of the fountain by the order of the Administration of Murmansk. Fountain masters of our company carried out the main volume of works: installation of technological equipment, installation of electrical part and automatics in the pumping chamber and the fountain bowl. Created programs of fountain dynamics and carried out commissioning works.

The diameter of the fountain bowl is 9 meters, the maximum height of the foam jets in the central zone is 3.2 m, and on the periphery dozens of arc-shaped jets form a kind of water vaulted tunnel. Benches placed around the fountain allow people to rest and relax, quietly contemplating the endless movement of water.

Numerous publications in the press show that the fountain with an anchor in the Square of Five Corners is liked by the citizens and reviews about it are only positive.
