7 декабря 2012 г. в Киеве официально открылся торгово-развлекательный центр Ocean Plaza с крупнейшим в Восточной Европе публичным морским аквариумом. До сих пор таковым являлся аквариум «AB Baltic Mall Aquarium» в торговом центре «Мега» (г. Каунас), занесённый в книгу рекордов Литвы.   

Киевский аквариум больше - он вмещает 350 тонн морской воды, тогда как каунасский всего 163 тонны. Аквариум ТРЦ Ocean Plaza доступен для обзора с четырёх сторон через 7 больших окон. Самое большое имеет почти 12 метров в длину и 3 метра в высоту. 

Выгодное отличие киевского аквариума от многих других публичных аквариумов в том, что наблюдать за подводным пейзажем кораллового рифа можно не только с трёх уровней торгового центра, но и уютно расположившись в приватной зоне – ресторане «Марлин», примыкающем к аквариуму. Спроектировала и построила этот огромный аквариум наша компания Аква Лого инжиниринг. Специалисты компании осуществили и уникальную операцию по его заселению. В 350 тысячах литров морской воды обитает множество рыб пятнадцати видов. 

Ошеломляющее впечатление на посетителей торгового центра производит огромный самец песчаной тигровой акулы по кличке Большой Джон, длиной более 2 м и весом 150 кг.   Аквариум в ТРЦ Ocean Plaza это первый большой объект, построенный Аква Лого инжиниринг за пределами России. На родине компания уже имеет солидный опыт создания и эксплуатации таких аквариумов. Только в прошлом 2011 году открыли двери посетителям сразу два океанариума – в Москве и Воронеже. Оба спроектированы и построены при непосредственном участии нашей компании. Причём океанариум в ТРЦ «РИО» по заявлению владельцев уже полностью окупил инвестиции - 18 млн. долларов.        

На пресс-конференции, посвященной открытию торгового центра президент ООО «К.А.Н. Девелопмент» (Киев), основного девелопера проекта, Игорь Никонов, так прокомментировал нашу работу: «Когда проектировали аквариум, пригласили одну из самых профессиональных компаний. Она из Москвы, называется Аква Лого. Имеет большой опыт, они уже много аквариумов открыли в России. Они будут осуществлять обслуживание как минимум ещё год.  Вчера как раз произошла основная загрузка рыбы. Там появилась огромная акула, которую уже можно посмотреть. Все технические вопросы, как они обещали, как мы договаривались, они всё выполнили. Компания профессиональная, там есть ихтиологи, это большой коллектив. На самом деле задачи очень непростые, это сложная технология управления подобным аквариумом. Потому что это живая среда, её нужно постоянно поддерживать по многим показателям. Техническое оснащение аквариума – это тоже 21-й век. Так что надеемся, что всё будет хорошо» (прослушать аудиозапись выступления И. Никонова).

Все рыбы в аквариуме уже адаптировались, некоторые обзавелись персональными территориями и предпочитают их не покидать. Другие активно перемещаются по всему аквариуму, позируя фотографам (см. фотогалерею).

Public Aquarium Ocean Plaza mall opened on December 7

Shopping Mall Ocean Plaza was officially opened on December, 7 in Kiev, where the biggest public seawater aquarium in Eastern Europe is situated. Before this opening the public seawater aquarium «AB Baltic Mall Aquarium» in Mega Mall in Kaunas, which was put into the book of records of Lithuiania, was considered to be the biggest one in Eastern Europe.

Kiev’s aquarium is bigger, it holds 350 tonnes of sea water, while the aquarium in Kaunas holds only 163 tonnes. Aquarium in the Shopping Mall Ocean Plaza can be seen from four sides through 7 big windows. The biggest one is the 12 meters long and 3 meters high.

The advantageous difference of Kiev’s aquarium from other public aquariums is the possibility to observe the landscape of underwater reef not only from three levels of the Shopping mall but also from the restaurant Marlin adjacent to the aquarium. Visitors to the Marlin can enjoy the view of the aquarium during lunch or dinner. Our company Aqua Logo engineering projected and built this huge aquarium. Also the specialists of Aqua Logo engineering have performed the unique operation for settling the aquarium. There are more than fifteen species of fish in the 350.000 liters of the sea water.

A great male sand tiger shark named  Big John makes a stunning impression on visitors of the Shopping Mall. He is more than 2 meters long and weighs 150 kilos. The aquarium in the Shopping Mall Ocean Plaza is the first big object built by Aqua Logo engineering outside of Russia. The company Aqua Logo engineering  has already had considerable experience in building and exploitation of such aquariums. Two Oceanariums opened in Moscow and in Voronezh in 2011 in rapid sequence. Both aquariums were designed and built with the direct participation of our company. Moreover, according to the statement of the owners of the shopping center RIO, the Oceanarium in RIO had already recovered the investments of $ 18 million.

At the press-conference dedicated to the opening of the Shopping Mall the president of LLC “K.A.N. Development”, the main developer of this project, Igor Nikonov commented on our work: “When we were projecting the aquarium, we invited one of the most professional companies. The company is from Moscow, called Aqua Logo engineering. This company had large experience, they have already opened many aquariums in Russia. They will maintain the service of the aquarium for at least a year. The main settlement of the fish was carried out just yesterday. There is the huge shark in the aquarium, which you can already see. The company have solved all the technical problems as they promised and as we agreed. The company is professional, they have a big team, they have ichthyologists. In fact, the tasks are very complicated, the technology of managing this aquarium is complex. It is a live environment, therefore, it needs to be constantly maintained taking into consideration many indicators. The technical equipment of the aquarium is also the 21st century. So hopefully everything will be going well.”
