Pedestrian fountain at VDNH

Russia's largest exhibition complex VDNH in Moscow is being intensively reconstructed. The author of the concept of VDNH Landscape Park with a large walking alley is a well-known French architect Michel Pena. According to his plan in addition to the Main Alley from the main entrance to the pavilion "Kosmos" a 4.5 km long pedestrian path is being built on the basis of the existing wide ring road. Along its entire length there will be plenty of places for rest, contemplation and leisurely conversations. 

One of the resting points on the new pedestrian walkway was a fountain with a rostrum, which offers a wonderful view of the dome of the Kosmos Pavilion and the Gagarin rocket. The VDNH administration and Michel Pena approved our idea of the fountain as part of the Landscape Park. We made the working documentation, supplied, installed the equipment and in June 2018 we put the fountain into action in front of the oceanarium "Moskvarium". 

This oasis with many benches in the shape of bleachers and a lawn around it immediately became a place of attraction for adults and especially appealed to children. In hot weather they can play for hours with water jets hitting right under their feet. The main feature of the fountain is the absence of a traditional water bowl filled with water.

Due to the fact that the top of the bowl of the structure is set at the same level as the surface, the fountain allows vacationers to walk between its jets. There are 34 fountain modules on an area of 394 square meters. Each module has a foam nozzle and 2 LED lights.  

The height and color of the jets change according to a preset program. The fountain equipment is compactly placed under the podium.
